Sanskriti School of rehabilitation organized a Webinar on Overview of Disability and Referral Services in India. During the webinar, Dr. Himanshu Das ( NIEPVD) Divyangjan, Dehradun was present as a chief Guest and Priyadarshi Mishra Rehabilitation Officer (CRCSD) and Daya Rani Lecturer in Special Education-MR Mandi (HP) were the key speakers of the day.
Dr. Himanshu das said that “No one is born to be perfect but the term “Disability” spoils the vision of Society to see the ability of the person with a disability.” In Indian Referral Services there are various opportunities available and National Institutes are engaged in the field of providing disability rehabilitation services to the persons with disability as also in undertaking research and development efforts. NIs also provides Vocational Skill training for placement and distribution of assistive aids.
