Since its inception, the School of Agriculture has been actively involved in teaching, research and extension activities related to horticultural production, breeding, post-harvest technologies, biotechnology etc.
The objectives of the Masters of Science in Horticulture programme is to consolidate horticultural teaching and research and to create expertise in identified thrust areas in order to contribute to the betterment of horticultural practices.
The utmost priority of the School of Agriculture is to impart knowledge and education related to Horticulture and allied branches. Further, the thrust areas include conservation of genetic biodiversity and sustainable green farming and adjustments needed in sync with climate change.
