Children's Day Celebrated at Sanskriti University

Mathura. Sanskriti University celebrated Children's Day with much fanfare in the Seminar Hall of the University. The Programme started with the address by Dr. Kalyan who reminded the audience about the valuable contributions shared by Late Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru who had laid the foundation stone of development of the Indian Economy. He also shared his thoughts and views on this auspicious day and wishes the Children's Day Greetings to the students.

Chancellor Shri Sachin Gupta congratulated the students and teachers on the auspicious occasion of Children's Day. He said that the children of modern times have immense potential to take the country to new heights of development and excellence.

His speech was followed by a Special Address by the Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhay Kumar. He shared his thoughts and views about the children and how the children of modern times are contributing in the process of growth and development of the Indian Economy.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh shared his special learnings given by the teachers of yester years and said that "Pen is mightier than the sword". He emphasized the contributions of Late Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji who had laid the foundation of the Economic Development of India by initiating the various 5 Year Plans in India. Dr. Singh made an appeal to the young children sitting in the seminar hall to plan for their respective careers so that they can come out with flying colours and can be able to compete with the various national and international corporate players. The students and faculty members were gifted with Pens on the occasion of Children's Day.

Dr. Om Prakash Jasuja, Dean-Students Welfare Oganized the Children's Day Programme and shared the special style of celebration of Children's Day in the earlier years.

The School of Rehabilitation celebrated the Children's Day with the Divyang Students. The faculty members took the Divyang Students to Ramanreti in Mathura for a religious cum educational trip in the University Bus on the occasion of Children's Day. Ramanreti (also known as Raman Van) is located few kilometers away from the city of Mathura. The place means sacred sands and helps us remind of the times of Lord Krishna who used to frequently visit this place along with his brother Balram and many other friends who were involved in grazing the cows. The students came back after visiting Ramanreti at 3 PM. The students were offered meal at the university campus after they returned from Ramanreti.
