Sanskriti University signs an MOU with ICAR- IIMR, Hyderabad

Sanskriti University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research. Hyderabad. This collaboration will help students by providing opportunities and expertise to students through exchange programs, research and training programs in the field of Agriculture & Millett Research.

The MOU was signed in the presence of Sanskriti University Chancellor Sachin Gupta, ICAR-IIMR Director C.V. Ratnavatha, Dean Agriculture Dr. Rajneesh TyagiSanskriti University and OSD to the Chancellor Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Sanskriti University.

“Millets are a group of highly variable small-seeded grasses, widely grown around the world as cereal crops or grains for fodder and human food. Millets are important crops in the semiarid tropics especially in India.

This crop is favored due to its productivity and short growing season under dry, high-temperature conditions. Millet cultivation provides farmers more economic stability than commercial crops.

This MOU will help students to understand more about this type of agriculture and they can help farmers with their research.” said Sachin Gupta, Chancellor Sanskriti University.
