Faculty Development Programme –Gyanarjan -2019

Sanskriti University, known for its exceptional excellence, successfully organized a three-day Faculty Development Program –Gyanarjan 2019. The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by the national anthem. On this occasion, Hon’ble Chancellor, Mr. Sachin Gupta offered garland on the statue of Goddess Saraswati and the aura was filled with the melodious tune of Saraswati Vandana. To make this event more memorable, OSD Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, Advisor Mr. Anil Mathur, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh, and Dean Management Dr. Kalyan Kumar were present.

Addressing the faculty members, the Chancellor, Mr. Sachin Gupta stated that faculty members are the pioneers in taking the coveted university to unfathomable heights. He motivated all the faculty members to achieve the pinnacles of success in the field of teaching and research by reaching new milestones and by achieving new benchmarks of excellence. He further added that the world and the country are growing rapidly and to remain globally competitive, all the stakeholders of the University should strive together to achieve excellence. This is the only way to achieve the unimaginable pinnacles of success.

In the sequence, the Vice-Chancellor also showered his wisdom by saying a few words about the University. He added that the main aim of Sanskriti University in organizing the Faculty Development Program is to educate the teachers about new techniques that they can disseminate to their students. It could serve as a stepping stone in their career.

Executive Director Prof. PC Chhabra also threw light on the importance of research and teaching in order to have a bright future of the students and to take their career to new heights.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rana Singh showed his excellence as a leader and discussed all the subjects in detail which included teaching, research, publication, entrepreneurship, upgradation, quality management, quality assurance, etc. He ended his speech by motivating all the faculty members to be exceptional and achieve success in the process of delivering quality education and conducting research on contemporary issues.

In a detailed three-hour address, the Founder of Nectar Factor, Beni Kinha shared important tips to the teachers so that they all-set to provide high-level education to the students and upgrade their skills as well. The teachers should be able to harness the potential of students so that they can learn and grow in a stress-free environment.

In the end, he also said that each student is unique and has different capabilities. All they need is the right environment. Teachers should try to understand each student and make enough changes in their teaching system to ensure that every student can become his best version and achieve the heights of success.

On second day, Dr. Shweta Singh CEO of Ennoble IP Solutions delivered a very focused lecture on various aspects of Indian Patent Laws, Research and Publications. She also deliberated on How faculty members should focus on getting their patents registered at the earliest apart from focusing on the process and procedures.

The session was followed by a special address from Dr. Shailendra N Jaiswal, Sr. Executive Director (Research), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India who spoke on various aspects of innovation and how innovation can transform the outcomes of education. He also shared the various benchmarks of innovation and motivated the faculty members to focus on research and innovation and motivated the faculty members to inspire the students to focus on innovation in the process of academic delivery.

In the post lunch session, Brigadier Dr. Sunil Moudgil who is an international trainer and motivator delivered a motivational address to all faculty members and through his powerful address he transmitted energy to enhance their synergy in the process of teaching and learning. In an interactive session, Dr. Moudgil motivated the faculty members and gave tips to motivate the students and to remain motivated in the process of academic delivery. He made the faculty members play various management games to enhance their team spirit.

The third day started with the special address by Dr. Vinod Dumblekar who is CEO of leading company Mantis. He delivered a special lecture on Simulation, Games and Student Engagement to the faculty members. He made the faculty members experience the use of simulation and games to enhance the engagement level of the students.

The session by Dr. Dumblekar was followed by a very interactive session by Mr. Satish Kaushik who is a leading Psychologist. He emphasized the importance of mentoring and psychodynamic profiling of every student so that mentors can mentor their respective mentees in more effective manner. He said that teachers must have a clear understanding of the psychological state of mind and should customize their academic delivery in accordance with the expectation of the students.

This was followed by an inspiring and enlightening session by an Prof. Dr. J P Singh who is an eminent Professor in the domain of education. He inspired the faculty members by a scintillating session focused at various modern styles of teaching by adopting the latest curriculum, pedagogy and assessment techniques to maximize the overall effectiveness of the teaching learning processes.

Mr. Saurabh and Mr. Anubhav Saxena delivered the next session jointly. They focused on the various features and advantages available to the students on their technology portal Xcelerator. They helped the students to understand how they can create their profile and upgrade their profile by pursuing skill based value added courses or programmes. He also shared the fact that there are thousands of internship and job opportunities available on the Xlerator Portal which can be visited by the students.

The last session was conducted by Prof. P.C. Chhabra who met all the faculty members and deliberated about the importance of team work and team spirit at the University. He also shared them the rules of the game and made the faculty members play management games and helped the faculty members understand the importance of team spirit.

Gyanarjan 2019 ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Kalyan Kumar who extended his heartfelt thanks to all the internal and external stakeholders who contributed towards making the programme successful.
