Budget expectations: Education Sector

We look forward to seeing a massive focus towards lessening the financial burden on parents and students to reduce the interest on education loans.

Last Year education allocation budget was Rs. 93,223 crores, which was reduced by 6% as compared to the year before. This year we are expecting it to be increased by 10%. To increase connectivity government should announce programmes to boost 5G devices at an affordable rate to boost e-learning infrastructure.

We look forward to seeing a massive focus towards lessening the financial burden on parents and students to reduce the interest on education loans. This will help students to aspire for higher education without getting under economic stress.  Due to the pandemic, all the students are studying from home. Having a laptop is the minimum requirement for the students and teachers to either record or impart live instructions. If the government can provide subsidized access to laptops for students and teachers it can boost the quality of online education.
