M.A. is a 2 year post graduate degree programme offered to graduates. This programme is offered in the following subjects

M.A. in Economics

Master of Arts in Economics is a postgraduate programme. Economics includes a comprehensive and through study of Economics as a discipline at an advanced level. This postgraduate degree programme generally covers the study of principles of economic theory, micro and macroeconomics, comparative economic system, money and banking systems, international economics, quantitative analytical methods, applications to specific industries and public policy issues, etc.

As an M.A. postgraduate, one can have an excellent foundation for further study or research at doctoral level, as well as a respected qualification in its own right. M.A degree holders can easily find employment in teaching at different levels but much depends on their own personality, creativity and innovativeness. On successful completion of this degree a students can apply for the UGC-NET or JRF exam.
