Sanskriti University organises free health camp for girl students
Main objective of the camp, held under Mission Shakti, is to raise health awareness
The Sanskriti Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital (SAMCH) organised a health camp for girls under “Mission Shakti”. The main objective of the camp was to raise awareness about health and the importance of regular health check-ups. During the health camps, a team of students conducted a free blood test for cholesterol, sugar, haemoglobin and blood pressure.
The Mission Shakti Initiative is a government initiative for empowering girls. Under this initiative, different programmes are organised to empower girl students, where doctors and nursing professionals provide day-to-day training to them for the upliftment of their own personality and the society.
The vice-chancellor of the university, Rana Singh said, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. These kinds of health camps are very helpful for creating health-related awareness.” He congratulated the team of doctors and faculty members of SAMCH for making sincere efforts in the process of conducting a series of programmes on women empowerment.
