A Center of Manufacturing Excellence, or CoE, is a centralized location where best practices are developed based on information and data gathered from a company’s experience. These practices gradually become ingrained in the company’s culture, allowing it to define organizational standards and consistently apply them across all facilities and locations.

It is a trial ground for new developing processes as well as a tool for identifying, tracking, and distributing manufacturing innovations. As global rivalry grows, industries become more competitive, and production control must apply these improvement centres to establish a solid foundation and a sophisticated manufacturing system.

Sanskriti University has established three Centres of Excellence (CoE) in collaboration with MSME, PPDC, and Agra. Centre of Excellence on Industrial Automation & Robotics; Centre of Excellence on CNC Machines;  Centre of Excellence on Ecological Farming.

Centre of Excellence on Industrial Automation & Robotics

It is a cutting-edge platform for exploring, learning, and building Robotics and automation technologies. The centre offers intensive and creative training to prospective students/professionals based on the most recent curriculum and industry needs. Automation and robotics courses produced by the NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework) are also taught in accordance with the NSQF guidelines.

Centre of Excellence on CNC Machines

A CNC Machine Center of Excellence (COE) is a facility that offers leadership, best practices, research, support, and/or training for the emphasis area. The centre also brings together faculty from other educational institutions and offers shared facilities. This Center bridges the gap between industry and academia by harnessing the intellectual energy of academics to benefit Indian companies.

Centre of Excellence on Ecological Farming

Ecological farming promotes healthy farming and nutritious food for today and tomorrow by safeguarding soil, water, and climate, promoting biodiversity, and avoiding the use of chemical inputs or genetic engineering.

This is the only Centre of Excellence in Uttar Pradesh recognized and affiliated by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of the Government of India, where more than 100 Professors, PhD scholars, postgraduate students, startups, and entrepreneurs are engaged in knowledge creation, knowledge dissemination, and knowledge application for societal and economic development in the area of Agriculture and Biotechnology.

Unique Features About Sanskriti Centre of Excellence

This sort of CoE has four key strategic goals that are repeated. All are related to fundamental and, to a lesser extent, advanced strategic research, although in various ways.

  1. To build support for fundamental and advanced strategic research. This category of CoE’s major goal is to promote “frontier disciplines of science” and “internationally competitive (world-class) research” skills.
  2. To build support for fundamental and advanced strategic research. This is the primary goal of this type of CoE and may be characterized as funding for “frontier disciplines of science” and “internationally competitive (world-class) research.”
  3. Linking the scientific system to transnational research networks. This involves forming alliances with scientifically strong settings in other nations, so establishing the conditions for improved international standing in certain sectors of knowledge.
  4. To aid in the prioritization of scientific research in the scientific system. This can be accomplished either top-down, by supporting CoEs in areas of national priority, or bottom-up, by soliciting proposals to determine where national research capacity actually lies. One clear goal shared by many of the CoEs in this research was to create an incentive for HEIs to priorities within their organizations through co-funding and other sorts of commitments.
