BAMS course at Sanskriti University

Realising its immense potential, Sanskriti University has introduced this course. It (BAMS course) has been given due importance and competent, well qualified & experienced teachers have been appointed as faculty members. Laboratories have been set up as per the requirement of the course and equipped with necessary equipments. A herbal garden with large no. of trees planted (in the garden) is being nurtured for practical demonstration of various facets of plants’ usages.  A well stocked library is being maintained for providing the students the facility to access ` books ,journals, magazines etc. on the subject.

The BAMS department is regularly conducting camps in nearby villages and examining the patients and providing medicines as a part of discharging corporate social responsibilities.

The course

BAMS is an undergraduate degree programme in Ayurvedic medical system. The course is of 4 and 1/2 year’s duration (followed by one year’s internship programme) .The topics covered include  anatomy, principles of medicines, physiology, social and preventive medicines, forensic medicine, principle of surgery etc.

Eligibility criteria  for entry to BAMS course

Qualifying  with 50% marks in 10+2 examination with  physics, chemistry and biology subjects. The candidates qualify through national level entrance examination.
